Craig Jensen

Craig Jensen was born in suburban New Jersey. In 2003, after graduating from The College of the Holy Cross, Craig moved to Rindge to work for The Meeting School, a small Quaker boarding school. He taught writing, social studies, fiber arts, and woodcarving, hand-milked cows, pruned fruit trees, cut hay, and pressed cider for the school community until the school stopped admitting students in 2011. Craig continues to grow vegetables (and expand the gardens) on this property that he has known and loved for 10 years. In 2011. Craig and his wife Megan were married on the farm, hosting friends and family with farm grown food and hundreds of beautiful dahlias.

Craig and Megan apprenticed at Gorzynski's Ornery Farm, a pioneer organic grower in the Southern Catskills of New York. Together they managed community gardens for the Great Works Community Land Trust in Ogunquit, Maine before returning to The Meeting School and starting up their CSA. This is the third season that they will offer customers a mix of diverse, high quality vegetables, cut flowers and bread that Megan bakes here on the farm. Craig grows hundreds of dahlias each summer, including some of the rarest varieties in cultivation. He also enjoys embroidery and other handcrafts and is currently enjoying a quiet winter sewing dolls and other toys while planning for the next CSA season. Craig has maintained a vegan diet for 10 years.
