DiPietro Library One Search searches all of our holdings, including both our physical collection and our subscription databases. The "Google-like" interface makes searching more intuitive for students. The link is available on every page of our website.
The E-Journal page now gives you the option of searching for a journal title or a particular citation. We have also added a doi search and a listing of individual e-journal holdings that are not located in our databases.
September 24, 12:30-1:30- What’s happening in the Virtual Library
Presenter: Becca Cahill
Summer brought many changes to the library. This session will introduce some new ways of conducting research at FPU including DiPietro Library One Search, Google Scholar integration (on and off-campus), and citation searching with our E-Journal finder. In addition, many of our commonly used databases received major facelifts over the summer, and we will show you some of their new features and discuss changes in the way they search and display results. The way we conduct online research is changing, and this session will keep you up to speed.
Google Scholar is an alternative way to search for scholarly journals and books. Many of the search results are not available online for free, but now you can configure the search engine to connect with FPU databases when we have the article available:
With the purchase of LibGuides, we are now able to create research guides for any class or subject quickly and easily. These can include recommended databases, books, tutorials and web links. If you would like to have a customized research guide for a class or particular assignment, please contact Becca Cahill.
