While FPU instructors concentrate primarily on their work in the classroom, their scholarly output is considerable and noteworthy. These books are but a few examples.
Emerson observed that "scholarship is to be created not by compulsion, but by awakening a pure interest in knowledge." I hope that this list reflects Emerson's thought by demonstrating how our faculty are motivated by a keen interest in their disciplines in order to join the conversation of their peers so that the flame of knowledge and learning remains bright.
