How To Embed Kanopy in Canvas

A Kanopy streaming film title with arrow indicating "Share" buttonInstructors have the option of embedding clips or entire films into a Canvas course space using sharing tools found under each Kanopy film.

 

First, copy the HTML code from Kanopy's sharing options:

1. Click on the "Share" button beneath the film title.

2. Select "Embed" and copy the HTML code that appears in the box below the tab.

Then, paste the HTML code in the Canvas Rich Content Editor's HTML Editor. 

1. The Rich Content Editor is used in the following Canvas features:

  • Announcements
  • Assignments
  • Discussions
  • Pages
  • Quizzes
  • Syllabus

2. Select the "Insert/Edit Media" tool in the Rich Content Editor toolbar.

3. Then, select the "Embed" tab in the dialog box, and paste the HTML code in the space provided.


 

How to Embed Swank Videos in Canvas

 

1. Once you have created an instructor account in Swank, select the video you would like to use in your class.

 

2. Select the "Share" drop-down menu, and then select "Copy LMS link.

 

3.  In the Canvas page editor, select the Embed button on the toolbar. In the pop-up box, paste the embed code into the box and click Submit.
