A October 28, 1997 Pierce Arrow article mentions that the lakeshore has been a focus of ghost sightings and paranormal activity. Reportedly, the "lady of the lake" emerges from the mist and fog to meet "lonely walkers."
The Lakeside Education Center was created in 2004. It adds a multi-purpose meeting or teaching space next to the boathouse.
